Los Trabajadores is a young, predominantly Hispanic working-class urban segment facing significant economic constraints. Blue-collar employment is especially prominent, educational attainment is low and both incomes and homeownership fall near the bottom of the Mundo Latino category. Nontraditional household arrangements are common, and poverty is elevated. These neighborhoods are defined by labor-intensive work, limited financial resources and relatively little housing wealth.
